| Details | All students are invited to attend the 28th Annual Alumni-Student Career Conference (ASCC). Scores of very enthusiastic College of Law alumni will be coming to Champaign to work with students on their career development efforts! As student participants in the ASCC, you will: • Learn valuable tips on how to engage with alumni and develop vital networking/mentoring relationships. • Choose to attend alumni panels on a variety of topics, including what are firms looking for when they make hiring decisions, how to develop your network as a student, tips for first-year associate success, career opportunities in government and the public sector, and key insights from our alumni on what they wish they had known as law students. • Enjoy lunch with alumni practicing in a variety of areas of the law. • Meet in small groups with alumni to discuss career-related topics and get to know our distinguished alumni better. • Practice your interviewing skills with a mock interview. • Network with alumni in various fields and practices throughout the conference and during the evening reception.
