DetailsThis event will be to discuss international law in the Palestinian context. Wesam Ahmad is a Palestinian human rights attorney at Al-Haq NGO in Ramallah, Palestine and a PhD student at the Irish Centre for Human Rights in Galway, Ireland. Khaled Quzmar is the Executive Director of Defense for Children International - Palestine. Quzmar joined DCIP in 1995 as a lawyer representing Palestinian children in Israeli military courts. He rose through the ranks to become administrative and legal affairs director. He earned a Master of Laws degree in international human rights law from the Irish Center for Human Rights at the National University of Ireland Galway. He specializes in issues of juvenile justice and grave violations against children during armed conflict. Ubai Al-Aboudi is the Executive Director of Bisan Center for Research and Development and is a researcher in the field of socio-economic rights. He is also the editor-in-chief of Al-Taqadomi (the progressive) a peer reviewed journal on development in Arabic. Milena Ansari is a Jerusalem-based advocate with Addameer. Addameer (Arabic for conscience) Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association is a Palestinian non-governmental, civil institution that works to support Palestinian political prisoners held in Israeli and Palestinian prisons. Dalal Salameh is a Palestinian activist and former politician. She was one of the first group of women elected to the Palestinian Legislative Council in 1996.
